St Patrick's Day Celebrations
Friday 17 March
In light of St Patrick's Day, on Friday 17 March, it was a perfect opportunity to hold an Irish-themed get together, at Aaron Crest.
Residents and their family and friends, enjoyed live Irish music, a few tipples of Bailey's Irish Cream Liqueur and face painting. Everyone agreed that it had been a great 'craic'.
Alison Moore, Activities Coordinator, commented “Our St Patrick’s Day party was a really successful event. Everyone had plenty to eat and enjoyed a bit of a dance.”
Aaron Crest has a full calendar of fun events and activities, so if you’d like further information or you’d like to attend to see what living here is all about, please get in touch.
A Community Hub for the North West
Friday 17 March
On Thursday 16 March, staff from Aaron Crest accompanied other care homes and the community, at Ormskirk Civic Hall, for the launch of a brand new Community Hub. They were also joined by former Everton player, Pat Ven Den Hauwe, and Everton in the Community's, Henry Mooney, who are also backing the Hub.
The brainchild of Athena Healthgroup, the community hub, supporting all of the North West, will enable care homes, carers and individuals living in their own homes to share activities, transport, training and to plan trips together.
The initiative's aim is to help elderly people to make friends in the community, as well as providing an important link for people in the area living with dementia.

A Valentines Party
Friday 14 February
Aaron Crest held a Valentine's party, on Tuesday 14 February, for all residents, family friends and staff to enjoy. The living area was decorated with heart-shaped bunting, and there were Valentine-themed cakes and treats. We also welcomed singer, George Winsor, who entertained everybody with some classic romantic songs. A wonderful time was had by all.
