On Sunday 11 March, residents, family and friends, came together for a special lunch to celebrate Mother's Day, at Buxton Lodge care home, in Caterham-on-the-hill.
Everyone enjoyed a beautifully cooked roast dinner, and from 2-4pm, the classical soprano singer, Dierdre Biasini, sang a mixed repertoire of classical and old favourites.
The day continued with a delicious afternoon tea, with a selection of freshly-made sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls and prosecco, and every lady received a beautiful white rose to remember the day.
Award-winning Activities Coodinator, Theresa Stanton, said, "Mothering Sunday is an ideal occasion to throw a party, make the residents, especially the Mums, feel special and celebrate family."
"We were so pleased to welcome Deidre Biasini, who filled the home with wonderful music, allowing all to join in. I'm pleased to say the day has been a very happy, memorable event."
