Residents and staff at South Haven Lodge care home, in Woolston, were treated to a Rock 'n' Roll afternoon recently, when guitarist and singer, Shaun O'Toole performed his rock, jazz and blues repertoire.
Shaun played some 1950's/60's classics, including Buddy Holly's That'll Be The Day, Bill Haley & The Comets' Rock Around The Clock, and The Beatles' Let It Be.
Becky O'Neill, who organised the entertainment, said:
"It was great to see everyone either toe tapping, getting up to dance or singing along. We think holding live music events at South Haven is really important, not only is it stimulating and fun, it brings a sense of wellbeing and can help with reminiscence."
"Music can really bring people together; it gives newer residents, or care team staff, a chance to socialise and bond, which is brilliant."
