Welcome to South Haven Lodge Care Home, a very friendly place where we aim to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible. We have plenty to offer you - such as excellent accommodation, delicious home-cooked food and all the help you need to make your life here pleasant and comfortable. It is important to us that you feel relaxed and welcome, and that your relatives are confident you are being well supported.

Dedicated to mental heath, South Haven Lodge has been recently refurbished and offers a very high level of Care.  The Care Home team has a wealth of knowledge and experience in mental health nursing and management are a true asset to the home.

South Haven Lodge Home was acquired by New Century Care in April 2004 and consists of a mix of 46 single and double rooms, many have en-suite facilities. Rooms are located on two floors serviced by two lifts. South Haven provides Residential and Nursing Care for people with Dementia related needs.

South Haven Lodge serves a wide area in and around the Southampton Community. Situated within walking distance of the shops and all local amenities we take pride in offering high quality care by staff appropriately trained in meeting the needs of our residents in a first class environment.

Our home...is your home

At South Haven Lodge Care Home you can choose from three attractive and comfortable lounges or the open dining area, with quiet areas where you can read, chat or spend time with your family and friends.

All rooms have all the necessary safety features such as smoke detectors and a Nurse-Call system to ensure 24-hour confidence and reassurance.

You will have your own key-worker to support you, also a care plan which is regularly reviewed to ensure that any changes in your well-being are documented and understood by all.

Bedrooms...make it your own!

You have your own room so you can maintain your independence and privacy. If you wish, you can spend time with your fellow residents in the lounge or dining area. We know how important it is to have time and space to yourself, so we put a lot of effort into making you’re your room as pleasant, comfortable and personal to you as possible.

Bedrooms are homely and comfortable and offer television aerial sockets and telephone points. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated with room for your personal belongings, so you can dress your room in your own way to make it feel your own.

Your meals…lovely home cooking

We all know that food is one of life’s great pleasures, so we provide a varied choice of menu every day. You can eat in your own room or with the other residents in the dining area. As well as your main meals you can have snacks and drinks at any time of the day or night, and if you have a special diet, our fabulous Chef will be happy to discuss it with you.

Laundry Service

South Haven Lodge has its own laundry service, which collects and delivers clothes back to you. However, relatives may take laundry to do themselves outside the Home if they wish. We do ask that all garments are clearly labelled with the relevant person’s name to ensure all items are returned to the correct owner.

Activities...lots to do!

We are very keen to encourage everyone in our care to join in our wide range of activities; we have an Activities Co-ordinator who provides daily activties of different things for you to do. This is a great way to get to know your fellow residents and with visiting entertainers and outings throughout the year there is always something to do.

Outside the Home

South Haven Lodge is situated in a suburb of Southampton and is an established and involved part of the local community.

We have a large off road parking area to the front and beautiful well maintained gardens to the rear.

Our gardens also become the focal point during the summer months and are the perfect setting for our Garden Fete and Family Barbeques.
