Resident, Derek, from The Oaks Care Home in Colchester this week got to see one of his greatest wishes come true
Derek has been a lifelong fan of League One team, Ipswich Town Football Club closely following their progress over the years and showing his support by proudly wearing their colours.
This week we were delighted to kick off our "Wish Come True" activity campaign, enlisting the help of Ipswich Town, local chauffeur company "White Glove Chauffeur Service" and Deputy Mayor of Colchester, Tim Young.
With their help Derek was treated to a day he'll probably never forget. He was collected from the home by a limousine, driven to Portman Road (home of Ipswich Town) and given a personal tour by the club's manager, Peter Cook.
At the end of the tour he was invited back to watch a game of his choice courtesy of the Club. The Oaks would like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in making this day possible.
Please watch this space for further "Wishes"....
