Today, along with the rest of the country, we celebrated the end of World War II across our homes in England and Scotland.

Recent events have meant that the celebrations we had planned couldn't go ahead, but we didn't let that stop us from marking this important day across our homes.

Celebrations included watching live footage of the days events in the homes' bedrooms and lounges, observing the countrywide minute's silence, decorating the homes inside and out with bunting and flags, eating British food including war time favourites such as spam fritters, decorating a Union Jack themed cake and listening to “Songs that Won the War”.
